A charitable organization for dementia is seeking a Group Support Volunteer to help support individuals affected by dementia in various group settings across the UK. You will engage clients in activities, ensure they feel comfortable, and assist with setup and cleanup. Ideal candidates will possess good communication skills and have a caring attitude. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the community while helping others with dementia.
Qualifications
- Good verbal communication and listening skills.
- Enjoy meeting new people and being part of a team.
- Aware of or willing to learn about dementia and its impact.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion.
- Over the age of 16.
Responsabilités
- Support and encourage people affected by dementia.
- Help set up and tidy away during group activities.
- Ensure people feel comfortable and welcomed.
