Ward Host (Epsom) – Epsom General Hospital. The closing date is 22 September 2025.

As a ward hostess you will help to enhance patient well‑being and their experience in the hospital. Working closely with other hospital staff you will be expected to deliver a high level of customer service to all patients, visitors, staff and stakeholders.

• Provide an efficient food and beverage service to patients on wards, ensuring that food and beverages meet patients’ medical, dietary and cultural needs.
• Help to prepare service areas with necessary equipment (e.g., crockery, serving utensils, condiments).
• Responsible for food preparation and production, maintaining a high standard of hygiene and food handling, and ensuring all food served to patients is easily accessible.
• Support within a role based primarily at Epsom General Hospital, with opportunity to work across the trust as needed.

Working pattern: Full Time & Part Time contracts available; shift pattern will include evenings and weekends.

This ward host role is mainly based at Epsom Hospital, with expectation to work across the trust (Epsom and St Helier hospitals). If you have a driving license and car, it will be an advantage; accessible by public transport as well.

• Health & Safety awareness

• NVQ Level 1 & 2 or equivalent

• Previous work in a customer facing role
• Able to read, write and converse in English
• Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting
