A healthcare practice in Rochdale is looking for a motivated Receptionist Administrator to join their friendly team. This role involves providing high-quality administrative support, answering patient enquiries, and supporting clinical staff. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, experience in a busy environment, and a commitment to patient care. The position requires flexibility and the ability to work under pressure, making a significant impact within the practice's operations.
We are looking for a organised Receptionist Administrator who is highly motivated and enthusiastic with a passion for working within General Practice and making a difference to patient care.
Working as part of a small friendly team you will have excellent communication skills and be able to work calmly under pressure using you own initiative, with a ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines.
Essentially, we are looking for a good standard of education along with previous experience of dealing with patients and a good level of computer literacy.
We would expect the candidate to be a good team player and have a flexible approach to work, providing cover to your colleagues and cover sickness and annual leave, helping to ensure an effective service at all times.
The practice is based in central Rochdale within a diverse community in a modern purpose build building.
Your role will involve daily interaction with patients and health care professionals
The Practice has been rated GOOD by the CQC.
Provide a high standard of organisational and administrative support
Answer the telephone and respond to all enquires in a friendly and efficient manner
Provide Clinical staff with administrative support
Refer patients to secondary care through the Choose and book System.
Work co-operatively with the rest of the team to ensure the smooth running of the practice
Taking notes and minutes for clinical and practice meetings.

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception and administrative duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to greeting, and directing patients, patient registration, booking appointments, processing of information (electronic and hard copy) and assisting patients as required. To act as the central point for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquirers for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community services.
