Job Summary:

As a Junior Project Manager at Active Mechanical, you’ll steer multiple mechanical construction and retrofit projects from pre-construction through close-out—driving schedule, cost, safety, and quality performance. Collaborating with senior leadership, field crews, and subcontractors, you’ll manage budgeting, procurement, documentation, and client communication to ensure each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard, strengthening our reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee full project delivery from pre-construction to closeout on multiple projects simultaneously.
2. Accountable for job costing and ensuring financial accountability across all project phases.
3. Manage labor and subcontractor coordination, collaborating closely with Foremen, Workers, and Subcontractors.
4. Ensure occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance across all project sites.
5. Effectively handle site documentation including, but not limited to, RFI, CCN, CO, and Site Instructions.
6. Manage equipment and material procurement, including price negotiations and ensuring timely deliveries.
7. Prepare and maintain progress billing applications, schedules of values, and collaborate on accounts receivable.
8. Resolve project deficiencies within contractual timeframes.
9. Make timely, independent decisions within the project scope to drive progress.
10. Ensure exceptional client experience by maintaining strong communication, organization, and follow-up.
11. Lead and coach team members, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
12. Troubleshoot complex project challenges in a cost-effective and time-sensitive manner.
13. Represent Active Mechanical professionally, helping build and grow the company’s reputation.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in construction or project management
• Experience managing projects ranging from $100K to $1M.
• Strong ability to plan and manage schedules effectively.
• Demonstrated leadership, team coaching, and training experience.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to anticipate and mitigate complications.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of juggling multiple priorities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
