The Opportunity :

Scope of the position

The Inside Sales Representative will handle sales of HVAC / R parts, equipment, and supplies via phone and in person at the sales counter.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries about orders, deliveries, parts identification, warranties, and stock availability.
  • Promote current product promotions to customers.
  • Assist the warehouse team with shipping and receiving of parts, supplies, and equipment.
  • Process customer orders efficiently.
  • Provide feedback on inventory levels within the branch.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Assist with product merchandising in the showroom (replenishment, arrangement).
  • Inform customers of standard procedures or solutions to their problems.
  • Determine the best approach to resolve issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and policy adherence.
  • Practice safe handling of materials.
  • Generate invoices for counter sales.
  • Participate in after-hours customer service call schedule.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain or hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Understanding of effective selling techniques.
  • Minimum of 1 year of HVAC / R sales experience.
  • Good knowledge of HVAC / R systems with the ability to discuss and demonstrate products.
  • Proficiency in processing orders, quotes, credits, and backorders on computer systems.
  • Basic understanding of inventory, warehousing, and stocking procedures.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal, written, listening).
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and professional.
  • Committed to continuous improvement.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
