JDass Corp is looking for a Freight Broker Sales Representative. Yyou will be responsible for sourcing new customers, negotiating freight rates, managing shipments, and ensuring outstanding service delivery. This role requires strong sales ability, logistics knowledge, and the drive to build and manage your own book of business.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new shippers through cold calling, outreach, networking, and referrals.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects.
- Negotiate freight rates and secure profitable business opportunities.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships with existing and new accounts.
- Understand customer needs and tailor logistics solutions accordingly.
- Provide accurate and timely updates on shipment status and service issues.
- Work with carrier partners to secure available capacity at competitive rates.
- Negotiate carrier rates and build a reliable carrier network.
- Match shipments with appropriate equipment (dry van, reefer, flatbed, etc.).
Shipment Management
- Oversee shipments from pickup to delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Track loads, communicate updates, handle service issues or delays.
- Maintain accurate records within the TMS system.
- Prepare rate quotes, contracts, and load confirmations.
- Ensure profitable margins on all shipments.
- Collaborate with accounting on invoicing, payment issues, and POD collection.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in freight brokerage, logistics sales, or transportation (preferred).
- Strong understanding of North American transportation, carriers, lanes, and freight rates.
- Proven ability to generate leads and close sales.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts.
- Experience with TMS systems, load boards, and CRM tools.ur skills and contributions.
