Job summary
A leading healthcare provider in Canada is looking for experienced Mental Health Nurses to join the West Fife Community Mental Health Team. This role involves managing complex caseloads and providing assessments and care to patients with various mental health issues, both virtually and face-to-face. Candidates should have RMN experience, solid knowledge of physical health needs, and strong communication skills. Commitment to professional development is essential, and experience with complex trauma is a plus.
Qualifications
- Experience as an RMN with knowledge of mental health problems.
- Solid understanding of physical health needs, including prescribing.
- Commitment to continuing personal development and change management.
- Experience with complex-trauma or personality disorder patients is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Manage a complex caseload and provide assessment and care planning.
- Guide junior staff in the development of new pathways and clinics.
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team and maintain partnerships.
- Participate in induction and educational development programmes.
Skills
An exciting opportunity for experienced Mental Health Nurses to join the West Fife Community Mental Health Team.
The team provides comprehensive patient care, urgent and crisis mental health assessments, and psychological treatment interventions. We are undergoing significant changes and development, including a new complex‑trauma and personality disorder pathway and Physical Healthcare Clinics.
- Manage a complex caseload and provide assessment, care planning, evaluation and delivery of care to patients presenting with a variety of mental health problems in both virtual and face‑to‑face settings.
- Guide junior staff and contribute to the development and delivery of the new pathway and physical health clinics.
- Work within a multi‑disciplinary team, maintaining partnership working with other secondary care and community services.
- Participate in induction, supervision and educational development programmes.
- Experience as an RMN with knowledge and experience of working with adults presenting with a range of mental health problems.
- Solid understanding of physical health needs, including prescribing treatment where applicable.
- Strong team working, problem solving, flexibility and high‑level communication skills.
- Commitment to continuing personal development and change management.
- Experience of working with complex‑trauma or personality disorder patients is an advantage.
- Become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
- Demonstrate right to work in the United Kingdom (or be eligible for sponsorship).
