Opportunity Overview
The Vancouver Club is looking for a Concierge to join our Member Services team. The candidate is dedicated to exceeding expectations of both our members and guests to ensure the highest level of service is consistently provided. Teamwork is key to success in providing a warm and personable experience. The role involves delivering excellent member services, strong communication, and attention to detail.
The candidate will have a strong desire to learn and develop within the hospitality industry. The club seeks career-focused professionals eager to experience all this industry has to offer.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to developing a club culture conducive to maximizing productivity and efficiency, promoting open communication, teamwork, and effective employee relations.
- Take reservations for all club events and the Bar & Grill, following reservation policies and communicating with the Concierge Manager to ensure confidence in reservation levels and numbers.
- Provide detailed tours of the club to prospective members and reciprocal guests.
- Review all materials regarding arrival schedules for members, room guests, reciprocal members, VIPs, or any hosts or guests attending an event.
- Review daily events and function sheets; communicate any concerns to department heads.
- Welcome members and guests, fulfilling requests, following special handling instructions, and adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Be familiar with and accurately quote room rates and availability for current and future dates.
- Project an image of friendliness, professionalism, and willingness to provide personalized services to members.
- Participate in resolving member complaints by communicating them to the Concierge Manager and assisting in resolving issues.
- Perform all other duties as required, including daily checklists.
Qualifications And Skill Requirements
- Effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in a second language is preferred.
- Previous customer service experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Experience providing high-level customer service to guests of high social standing with discretion and professionalism.
- Ability to work professionally with management and staff.
