A community service organization in Kitchener is seeking an Addiction Treatment Worker to support individuals experiencing homelessness and addiction. This part-time role involves supervising a transitional housing program, facilitating groups, and maintaining documentation. The Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART) Hub is a newly funded program aimed at addressing critical health and social needs in our community. The HART Hub will support individuals experiencing homelessness and addiction, offering services that include addiction treatment, housing support and collaborative care. The Addiction Treatment Worker will support program participants by working collaboratively with the staff team to facilitate program related activities including facilitation of groups.
The HART Hub Supportive Housing team will operate a co‑ed 12‑bed transitional housing program where the focus is short‑term housing and tailored support plans for individuals experiencing housing loss, with the goal of fostering addiction recovery and housing stability.
This is a permanent, part‑time (22.5 hours per week) position with personal days, vacation pay; group health benefits and defined contribution pension plan. Hiring for two different positions; please select which schedule you are interested in during your application. Successful completion of a Police Records Check (Vulnerable Sector) required pre‑employment.
Position 1 = Sunday, Monday, Tuesday; 4:00pm to 12:00am
Position 2 = Thursday, Friday, Saturday; 4:00pm to 12:00am

At House of Friendship all compensation ranges are categorized under a series of “grades” and we base our payment structure on internal equity. When determining rate of pay, a candidate’s past related experience will be taken into consideration.
Grade: 4
Min: $22.40
Mid: $25.65
Max: $28.90
