Job description

An exciting opportunity for experienced Mental Health Nurses to join the West Fife Community Mental Health Team.

The team provides comprehensive patient care, urgent and crisis mental health assessments, and psychological treatment interventions. We are undergoing significant changes and development, including a new complex‑trauma and personality disorder pathway and Physical Healthcare Clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a complex caseload and provide assessment, care planning, evaluation and delivery of care to patients presenting with a variety of mental health problems in both virtual and face‑to‑face settings.
  • Guide junior staff and contribute to the development and delivery of the new pathway and physical health clinics.
  • Work within a multi‑disciplinary team, maintaining partnership working with other secondary care and community services.
  • Participate in induction, supervision and educational development programmes.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience as an RMN with knowledge and experience of working with adults presenting with a range of mental health problems.
  • Solid understanding of physical health needs, including prescribing treatment where applicable.
  • Strong team working, problem solving, flexibility and high‑level communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuing personal development and change management.
  • Experience of working with complex‑trauma or personality disorder patients is an advantage.
Required Compliance
  • Become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
  • Demonstrate right to work in the United Kingdom (or be eligible for sponsorship).
