A regional municipal authority in Brampton is seeking a Specialist Quality Water to oversee and enhance its wastewater compliance program. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to environmental regulations. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and at least five years of experience in the water and wastewater industry. As the direct report to the Supervisor of Water & Wastewater Compliance, you'll play a pivotal role in fostering collaboration among internal and external stakeholders to oversee Peel's wastewater compliance program and support the environmental management system. Leveraging your expertise in Municipal Water and Wastewater systems, you'll spearhead continual improvement initiatives to enhance drinking water and wastewater programs. Utilizing your adept communication and organizational skills, you'll coordinate outreach efforts to effectively convey key messaging as needed.
In this role, you'll enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement. This means you'll have the ability to work off-site and on-site as needed, depending on operational needs at the 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton worksite. The frequency of on-site work may vary from week to week, depending on operational demands, which can evolve over time.
It's important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that we're compliant with all regulations and policies.
