Lot Associate: Part Time - KAMLOOPS
Job summary
A leading home improvement retailer in Kamloops is seeking a Lot Associate to ensure customer satisfaction and safety in the parking lot area. Responsibilities include loading customer orders into vehicles, maintaining a clean and organized parking lot, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal, organizational skills, and a high school diploma. The position requires flexibility with working hours, including evenings and weekends. The pay range is between $18.55 - $19.55.
Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years Retail experience required.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, and move items.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Load orders into customer vehicles while ensuring a safe environment.
- Maintain carts and assist customers as needed.
- Ensure areas are clean and not cluttered according to safety policies.

The Lot Associate's primary responsibility is to load orders into customer vehicles and ensure the parking lot is safe and welcoming for the customer. Customer service and GET behaviors play a vital role in this position, as the Lot Associate is often the first and last Associate to interact with a customer.
- Following Home Depot's GET Model of customer service including Greeting, Engaging, and Thanking the customer.
- Maintain a sufficient quantity of carts near the entrance of the store.
- When required, ask open ended questions about the customer's projects in order to determine their needs and level of expertise.
- Approach customers to determine if they need help loading product into vehicles and/or shopping carts.
- Plan the best method of loading and securing merchandise in customer's vehicle as per Safe Loading Training.
- Ensure that all exits/loading areas are not blocked or cluttered; sweep and clean debris off front apron and lumber loading pad.
- Follows all Safety and Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
