A leading insurance provider in Canada is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Legal Counsel in Toronto. The role involves advising on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues within the P&C insurance sector. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of relevant experience, strong understanding of insurance regulations, and excellent communication skills. Qualifications
- 5+ years of regulatory/compliance experience in P&C insurance or large law firms.
- Strong understanding of insurance regulations and privacy laws.
- Proven leadership in mentoring junior legal professionals.
Responsabilités
- Lead compliance with federal/provincial privacy laws and OSFI regulations.
- Advise on legal issues with emphasis on insurance laws.
- Draft and negotiate commercial and regulatory agreements.
