Our client is a leading company in the industrial solutions sector. They are seeking a full-time Outside Sales Engineer to manage and grow a portfolio of B2B customers within a defined territory in Ottawa, Ontario.

This is a field-based sales role focused on driving business growth, building strong customer relationships, and delivering consultative technical solutions through on-site visits. The position requires working from a home office, some time spent in the company office, and spending most of the time on the road visiting customers.

Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of industrial customers within the Ottawa region, with a strong focus on relationship-building, business development, and account growth.
  • Conducting regular on-site customer visits face-to-face to uncover new opportunities and promote solutions that deliver superior value.
  • Using a consultative selling approach to identify customer needs and propose technical solutions that improve efficiency and sustainability.
  • Developing and executing territory, account, and call plans aligned with business development objectives.
  • Managing the full sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and opportunity pipeline data.
  • Collaborating with internal teams (Projects, Technical, Service, Business Development) to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Preparing and delivering technical presentations and reports to customers.
  • Ensuring compliance with company values, safety standards, and legal requirements.
Qualifications
