Impactful SLP for Community Stroke Rehab - Part-Time
Job summary
A healthcare facility in Eastern Ontario is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide high-quality rehabilitation for stroke patients. The ideal candidate will hold a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, have clinical expertise in neurological rehabilitation, and possess excellent communication skills. This part-time role supports patient-centered care and requires collaboration with community services. The hospital promotes a dynamic and supportive work environment.
Qualifications
- Clinical expertise in stroke and/or neurological rehabilitation populations required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current Canadian Stroke Best Practices.
- Experience in both hospital and community service delivery is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care through assessment, treatment, consultation, and follow-up services.
- Collaborate with community service providers to promote client independence.
- Act as a consultant for other healthcare professionals concerning stroke education.
