Job summary

A community healthcare provider in Ontario is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a part-time position in Community Stroke Rehabilitation. The role involves providing high-quality rehabilitation and collaborating with patients and service providers to optimize care. Applicants should have a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and be a registered member of the Ontario College of Occupational Therapists. Qualifications

  • Clinical expertise in stroke and/or neurological rehabilitation populations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current Canadian Stroke Best Practices.
  • Experience in both hospital and community service delivery.
  • Ability to navigate transitional services when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality rehabilitation to patients.
  • Collaborate with community service providers to promote independence.
  • Act as a consultant and resource for healthcare professionals.

Skills

Understanding of the role of regulated and unregulated healthcare professionals in stroke rehabilitation
Demonstrated knowledge and clinical experience in neurological rehabilitation
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Proven flexibility and a high level of initiative
Ability to support clients in community environments

Education

Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
Registered member of College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
