Job summary

A healthcare institution in Ontario is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to join their Community Stroke Rehabilitation team. The successful candidate will provide person-centered care, collaborate with service providers, and ensure quality rehabilitation services for stroke patients. Critical qualifications include a master's degree in Occupational Therapy and strong clinical experience in neurology. Qualifications

  • Masters degree from a recognized accredited university program in Occupational Therapy.
  • A member in good standing of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Clinical expertise in stroke and/or neurological rehabilitation populations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality rehabilitation to patients with stroke.
  • Collaborate with community service providers for patient care.
  • Act as a consultant and resource for other healthcare professionals.

Skills

Understanding of the role of regulated and unregulated healthcare professionals
Demonstrated knowledge and clinical experience in neurological rehabilitation
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
Flexibility and initiative
Team player with organizational skills
Excellent assessment skills

Education

Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
Member in good standing of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
