Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced HSE Officer for one of our key clients in Abu Dhabi as part of our ADNOC Gas PMC team within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business. Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be full time site based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Construction Manager with a proven track record in overseeing and coordinates construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality and safety standards for a high-profile client.

• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, company policies, and client requirements on-site.
• Develop and implement site‑specific HSE plans, procedures, and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
• Monitor daily site activities to identify hazards, unsafe practices, and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and toolbox talks to reinforce HSE standards and awareness among all personnel.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for prevention.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure HSE requirements are integrated into all site operations.
• Promote a strong safety culture by providing training, inductions, and continuous awareness programs for site personnel.
• Ensure proper implementation of emergency response plans and readiness for any potential site emergencies.
• Track and report HSE performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement in safety and environmental practices.
• Support environmental compliance by monitoring waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives on‑site.
