JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager Purchase specialising in Aftermarket Truck Parts. The role involves managing the procurement process, building strong supplier relationships, ensuring cost efficiency, and maintaining the quality and availability of truck parts to meet business requirements.
Key responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
Oversee the end-to-end purchase process for truck parts, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract finalisation.
Ensure timely procurement of parts to avoid stock shortages or delays.
Vendor Relationship & Development:
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to expand the vendor base.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing suppliers for reliable and quality supply.
Cost & Quality Optimisation:
Negotiate pricing and payment terms with suppliers to achieve cost efficiencies.
Monitor and ensure the quality of procured truck parts meets company standards.
Inventory Coordination:
Work closely with inventory and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
Plan purchases based on forecasted demand and inventory turnover.
Market & Industry Analysis:
Stay updated on market trends, price fluctuations, and new products in the truck parts industry.
Conduct competitive analysis to ensure the best sourcing strategies.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements comply with company policies and legal requirements.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities for audit and reporting purposes
