To support this mission
WFP Fleet Centre (FC) in Dubai is mandated to centrally set the
global standards for and manage the light and Armoured vehicle
leasing operations to enable effective safe and efficient fleets in
all WFP offices. The vehicle leasing & insurance service is
complemented by world-class expertise and technical assistance in
fleet management fleet systems support disposal and driver and
fleet management training. In addition having one of the largest
humanitarian light vehicle fleets WFP is also spearheading
collaboration efforts within the wider UN System to facilitate UN
agency access to more effective and safer vehicles and to realize
efficiency
gains.
PURPOSE OF THE
ASSIGNMENT
The
Consultant will be working with Fleet Center Units to define and
document business requirements for data analysis and reporting. The
incumbent will also be required to come up with reporting solutions
designed to present FMS (Fleet Management System) VTS (Vehicle
Tracking System) and FC Portal data in ways that help relevant
stakeholders make better decisions at both an operational and
strategic level. The BI specialist also ensures the implementation
of the reporting using WFP corporate tools i.e. Tableau and Dots.
This position is suited for a good team player who can work
independently is impeccably organized with strong data analysis
skills.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under
the direct supervision of Head of FMSS Fleet Centre the consultant
will have the following
responsibilities:
1.
Apply agile development of new visualizations in Tableau dashboards
that support large data sets and analytics
methodologies
2. Analyze and
verify existing data-collecting and analytics
systems
3. Analyze data research
data sources and make corrections to existing data as needed to
ensure
accuracy
4.
Ensure that relevant teams and individuals are consulted and
involved in decision making at key points
and that all decisions made are clearly documented and
communicated
5. Enhance data
analysis and delivery of a series of business intelligence
dashboards and reports for different
audiences informing them on dimensions identified as relevant for
them with pertinent KPIs.
6.
Maintain evaluate and adapt visualizations for effective use and
broad understanding.
7. Maintain
databases
8. Answer any
questions users might have regarding the system and train peers and
relevant stakeholders on delivered
analytical tools and dashboards to ensure knowledge handover;
assist with production of training
material
9. Report progress and
issues to all relevant
stakeholders
10. Support the
development of fleet systems by analyzing the needs coming from WFP
offices and submit the clear business
requirements to FC Management for
review;
11. Conduct regular
fleet systems data analysis and advice country offices to for
corrective action to maintain high level
of data quality (completeness correctness and
timeliness)
12. Ensure vehicle
tracking operational data such as VTS devices stock allocation
airtime etc. are timely updated and
reconciled between the VTS platform and FMS data
base.
13. Any other duties as
required.
QUALIFICATIONS
& EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science information technology
management
data
analytics/management or other relevant
disciplines.
Experience:
Minimum of three years experience as a Tableau Data Visualization
Specialist
Experience using
Tableau for the creation of dashboards standard reports and adhoc
reports
Experience working with multiple disparate data
sources
Experience with
advanced data visualization topics such as complex calculations
table calculations parameters geographic
mapping and
performance
optimization
Familiar with Data Visualization best
practices
Excellent client
interaction problem solving & communication
skills
Attention to detail;
data analysis skills and quality assurance certification
skills.
Willingness to travel
as and if
requested/required.
Knowledge
& Skills:
At least 3
years of background developing and supporting Data
Visualization
solutions using
Tableau
Understanding of data
modelling techniques
Advanced
use of Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of SAP an asset
Analytical mind and business

Strong mathematical
skills (e.g. statistics

Languages:

desirable).
