Due to a robust project pipeline, our Abu Dhabi team is expanding, and we are seeking an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer / Senior Mechanical Engineer (Civil & Wet Utilities) for an infrastructure project based in Madinat Zayed.

• Work as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team across various infrastructure, buildings, transport, and other project types.
• Assist the Resident Engineer in managing daily project activities, reviewing and approving contractor submittals, and involved in quality control and assurance.
• Perform routine inspection and monitoring tasks to ensure proper construction supervision.
• Inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and specifications.
• Document non-conformance issues and participate in resolution processes.
• Support the Resident Engineer in overseeing daily construction operations and compliance with project specifications and regulations.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports.
• Collaborate with contractors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain schedules.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and quality control measures.
• Ensure safety standards and environmental regulations are upheld.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Assist in preparing change orders, contract modifications, and project documentation.
• Contribute to sustainable construction practices.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years postgraduate experience, with at least 7 years on large projects.
• Regional experience preferred.
• Authority registration preferred.
• Ability to manage and coordinate specialized activities or teams of moderate size and complexity.
• UAE Driving License.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in infrastructure projects.
