Job description

AHS is seeking a detail-driven and technically strong Design Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the highest standards of quality, precision, and design integrity are achieved across our luxury real estate projects.

This is a site-based role focused on monitoring the execution of design intent during construction and fit-out stages.

The ideal candidate will act as the link between design documentation and on-site delivery, ensuring that all materials, finishes, and workmanship meet AHS’s standards for excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design & Documentation Review – Review architectural, ID, and shop drawings to ensure alignment with approved design intent, coordination, and constructability.
  • Check that materials, finishes, and detailing specified in design documentation are practical, available, and correctly represented in site execution plans.
  • Track all design changes and ensure revisions are reviewed, approved, and implemented correctly.
On-Site Quality Assurance
  • Conduct regular inspections of ongoing works to verify that the contractor’s materials, methods, and workmanship comply with approved designs and project specifications.
  • Monitor joinery, stonework, metalwork, glazing, and finishing installations for quality consistency, detailing accuracy, and alignment with AHS design standards.
  • Assist in review, sign off on mock-ups, and sample installations, ensuring they accurately reflect the approved design intent before full implementation.
  • Identify non-conformances or deviations from approved details and coordinate with contractors and consultants for corrective actions.
  • Ensure materials delivered to site match the approved submittals and are installed per manufacturer’s recommendations and design requirements.
Coordination & Reporting
  • Work closely with consultants, design teams, and site management to resolve technical or aesthetic issues during execution.
  • Prepare and issue Design QA Reports documenting observations, deviations, and required corrective measures.
  • Participate in site coordination meetings to discuss progress, quality issues, and technical clarifications.
  • Maintain a Design QA tracker to monitor compliance, approvals, and outstanding actions.
  • Provide feedback to design and procurement teams to enhance future project specifications and detailing standards.
Continuous Improvement
  • Assist in developing standard QA/QC checklists, inspection procedures, and reporting templates for design execution.
  • Support post-completion reviews to capture lessons learned and integrate them into AHS’s design delivery framework.
