Job summary
A leading engineering firm in the UAE is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support various ADNOC projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves preparing electrical drawings, assisting senior engineers, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 1-3 years of experience in related environments. Proficiency in electrical design software and knowledge of electrical codes are essential. This position requires on-site work and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in oil and gas or construction environments.
- Exposure to ADNOC or similar projects is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ADNOC standards is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and reviewing electrical drawings and schematics.
- Support the creation of Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Report any safety hazards or compliance issues to senior project staff.

We have the expertise to carry out full EPC&M services for electrical and instrumentation works and bring our intrinsic knowledge to measure and automate exploration, production, separation, refining processes, and distribution through our localized services.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Support the creation of Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensure accuracy of materials as per project requirements.
- Update and maintain records of electrical designs and modifications in project documentation.
- Assist senior engineers in overseeing electrical installation and commissioning activities.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure electrical work complies with project specifications and safety protocols.
- Help troubleshoot basic electrical issues under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure smooth project execution.
- Communicate effectively with project teams to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on task progress to the Senior Electrical Engineer.
- Ensure all work adheres to ADNOC safety and quality standards.
- Report any safety hazards or compliance issues immediately to senior project staff.
- Participate in regular safety briefings and adhere to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies.
- Engage in on-the-job training to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge.
- Stay updated on ADNOC standards, electrical codes, and best practices for oil and gas projects.
- Take part in professional development sessions as provided by the company.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in oil and gas or construction environments. Exposure to ADNOC or similar projects is an advantage.
- Basic proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).
- Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations (IEC, IEEE) relevant to oil and gas.
- Familiarity with ADNOC standards is preferred.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic project environment.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
- Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to work on-site at various ADNOC project locations in Abu Dhabi.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and extended hours as project demands require.
