Job summary

A leading hygiene products company in the UAE is seeking an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Engineer to handle installation and maintenance of electrical systems in a factory setting. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 2-3 years of experience, particularly in manufacturing. Responsibilities include performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role may require shift work and exposure to machinery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
  • Experience in FMCG, paper converting, packaging, or process industries preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial electrical systems and machinery.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, panels, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and control systems.
  • Install, test, and commission electrical equipment, panels, wiring, and automation systems.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot power distribution systems including transformers, MCCs, and switchgear.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Coordinate with mechanical and production teams to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Maintain maintenance records and breakdown reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in audits and inspections.
  • Train technicians and operators on basic electrical safety.

Skills

Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and controls
Hands‑on experience with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and automation equipment
Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical faults under pressure
Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and TPM concepts
Familiarity with safety systems, lockout/tagout procedures, and risk assessments
Good documentation and reporting skills
Strong teamwork and communication skills

Key Responsibilities
