The Senior Steel Electrical Technician supports the manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Electrical systems and equipment. They will assist Electrical Supervisor to ensure the smooth functioning of machinery used in the production process, thereby minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency. This role requires strong Electrical aptitude and experience in a manufacturing environment.

To work on installations, inspections, diagnosing faults, testing, repair and maintenance of electrical orelectronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures with voltage ratings up to 1000V.

To perform general electrical work and preparation as directed by the superior.

To perform routine machine monitoring and maintain the records.

Obtain measurements and readings using electrical testing instruments, including digital multi meters,Insulation Testers, amp meters, ohm meters, and phase rotation meters etc.

Perform a variety of other maintenance tasks, such as electrical preventative maintenance,tag-out / lock-out, disconnecting and removing motors, and responding to emergencies.

Identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreedcodes, law, working practices and health and safety.

Perform pipe bending and installation of electrical conduit and cable trunking materials for industrial wiringfollowing relevant standards.

Draw and read electrical schematics, and / or diagrams.

Immediately report problems / failures that may impact on the organization, or which may affect healthand safety to the direct superior.

Adhere to all organization policies and procedures, including those relating to hygiene, respect for otherteam members, time keeping and flexibility.

Should be responsible for all allocated workload and must meet all targets as agreed with theshift in charge.Generally, needs to contribute towards the smooth running of the organization.

Working using own initiative within agreed roles – do not wait to be asked.

Knowledge of safety requirements and safe working procedureswhile working with Electrical equipment’s / machines.

Knowledge in operation and maintenance of all types ofElectrical machines, instruments, lighting equipment etc.

Knowledge of different wiring systems.requisite knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials commonto the trade.

Skill to understand important documents like workinstructions, procedures, equipment manuals and electricalwiring / schematic diagrams and machine specification plate.

Should have good communication skills to participate actively inteamwork as well as in individual Woking.

To work with all electrical equipment with necessary safetyrequirements.

Minimum 5 years of Industrial working experience as Electrical technician.
