Job summary

A leading safety services provider in Abu Dhabi is seeking an HSE Trainer & Safety Officer. This role involves developing and delivering health, safety, and environmental training programs while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates must have a degree related to Occupational Health & Safety and at least 3-5 years of experience in construction or Oil & Gas projects. Excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of HSE regulations are crucial for success in this role. Employment is full-time and does not provide remote work options.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in handling construction or Oil & Gas Projects.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, and procedures to promote effective security operations.
  • Ability to lead HSE process and guide them in the implementation stage.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and conduct HSE training programs including induction and refresher sessions.
  • Ensure training materials comply with current laws, regulations, and safety procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits for compliance with HSE regulations.
  • Monitor and enforce the use of PPE and safe work practices.
  • Participate in accident investigations ensuring root cause analysis.
  • Perform risk assessments and maintain compliance records.

Skills

Excellent English spoken and written skills
Strong communication and presentation abilities
In-depth knowledge of HSE laws, regulations and best practices
Proficient in safety audits, inspections and report writing
Ability to influence safe behavior and build a strong safety culture
Familiarity with HSE software and training systems

Education

Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field
NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH or equivalent
