Job Description
Reporting to the Gulf Market Access Director, the Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) Manager is responsible for supporting the development and execution of an integrated strategy to generate clinical and economic evidence in support of the launch and sustainable access of our Company’s strategic assets across all therapeutic areas in the Gulf. This work must align with current and emerging HTA guidelines within the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Map the existing healthcare data environment, HTA landscape, and requirements, and monitor trends in real‑world evidence (RWE) generation across the Gulf region.
- Establish and communicate evidence needs and requirements of healthcare authorities, payers, and providers as a foundation for RWE generation.
- Contribute to the development of integrated RWE plans to support optimal access pathways and sustain the clinical and economic value of our Company’s products across the Gulf.
- Review globally and locally available clinical and economic evidence as part of the economic model input collection process in an efficient and timely manner.
- Conduct payer engagement activities to support economic model development as required.
- Design and execute real‑world evidence studies to assess disease burden, patient characteristics, treatment patterns, quality‑of‑life impact, and other evidence requested by healthcare authorities, regulatory bodies, or payers.
- Maintain strong cross‑functional alignment to support country‑level value and evidence needs and ensure consistent messaging across internal and external stakeholders.
- Assimilate and clearly communicate the value proposition of our Company’s products to internal teams and external decision‑makers.
- Present HEOR data at international and local congresses and publish relevant findings in scientific journals.
- Ensure full compliance with our Company’s HEOR‑related processes, standards, and operating procedures.
- Oversee end‑to‑end study execution, including vendor onboarding, contracting, budgeting, and reporting.
- Support budget planning, prioritization, and resource allocation.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Pharmacist or other healthcare‑related discipline with:
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Public Health, Epidemiology, or Health Economics.
- 3–5 years of experience in health economics, outcomes research, market access, or a related field within the pharmaceutical industry in the Gulf region.
- Strong knowledge of health economics principles, HEOR methodologies, cost‑effectiveness analysis, budget impact analysis, and economic modeling.
- Understanding of the regulatory environment and healthcare systems across the Gulf region.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management capability, analytical skills, and strong communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross‑functional teams.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
