Transport and Valet Supervisor at Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts provides consistently delivered exceptional customer service to guests, particularly in relation to the parking and safety of vehicles and assisting with guest queries.
What will I be doing
The Transport and Valet Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing all aspects of valet parking operations to ensure a positive guest experience and efficient operations. Responsibilities include:
- Supervising the Valet team, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Ensuring excellent guest service by monitoring Valet Attendants' interactions, handling complaints, and providing assistance.
- Overseeing day-to-day valet parking operations, managing vehicle flow, organizing parking spaces, and ensuring efficiency.
- Providing high-standard service and maintaining a courteous presence for guests.
- Keeping the Front Office Manager/Chief Concierge informed of relevant feedback from guests or other departments.
- Communicating with Security regarding unattended vehicles.
- Enforcing safety protocols, conducting safety inspections, and addressing safety concerns promptly.
- Managing equipment and supplies necessary for valet operations.
- Maintaining accurate records of operations, vehicle counts, revenue, and incidents, and providing reports as needed.
- Coordinating with other departments for smooth operations, especially during special events.
- Conducting inspections to ensure service quality and address issues.
- Monitoring revenue and expenses, identifying opportunities for improvement, and assisting with budget planning.
What are we looking for
A successful Transport and Valet Supervisor should embody the following qualities and skills:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in luxury hotel, premium valet service, or transportation operations.
- Proven leadership in managing valet and transportation teams.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle handling, guest protocols, and logistics.
- Understanding of luxury service standards and the importance of first and last impressions.
- Familiarity with traffic management, parking systems, and safety procedures.
- Experience coordinating limousine services, shuttles, and VIP transfers.
- Valid UAE driving license with a clean record; experience with luxury vehicles is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle guest concerns professionally and discreetly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with high-profile guests.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, early mornings, and late evenings.
