Job summary
A leading recruitment consultancy in the UAE is seeking a candidate for a Civil Engineering role focused on the supervision of bridge construction projects. The ideal candidate should have at least 7 years of relevant experience and a diploma in Civil Engineering. Responsibilities include site inspections, ensuring safety compliance, and directing other inspectors. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for effective coordination with contractors. Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years experience in construction or operation and maintenance of bridges and interchange projects.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations on construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Inspect site conditions for compliance with design requirements.
- Provide practical advice on construction matters.
- Direct other inspectors to meet performance standards.
Skills
Education
- Hand on experience on construction supervision of long span prestreed bridges large diameter pile foundation Inspect site conditions to ensure suitability for designed permanent works.
- Provide practical advice on construction matters.
- Inspect construction and temporary works to ensure compliance with approved methods and contract requirements.
- Maintain records of inspections work executed and other relevant documentation.
- Direct other inspectors and ensure performance standards are met.
- Assist in measuring work done when required.
- Observe and enforce site safety procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of "as-built" drawings.
- Inspect completed works prepare snag lists and facilitate handover to the operating authority.
- Diploma or associate degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 7 years experience in construction or operation and maintenenace of bridges and interchange projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with contractors inspectors and engineers.
- Strong analytic capabilities and the ability to work independently
