TAAHEED is currently engaged with the region’s leading banking group to assist them in attracting future talent. Our client is a well-known name in the Financial Services industry and is positioned to recruit high-caliber professionals across the business.

Sitting within the Operations department, we are seeking a Section Head to supervise Trade Finance transactions and ensure the highest quality of service to customers.

1. Work within the policy and procedural framework, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of policies and procedures.
2. Analyze risk factors and arrange appropriate amendments when required.
3. Review issuance and amendments of all Trade Finance products.
4. Analyze terms and conditions of trade instruments to protect the bank’s interests.
5. Review all related financial and non-financial transactions for accuracy.
6. Review daily posting journal (interim beam report) against vouchers.
7. Allocate work to staff and monitor performance to meet standards of speed and accuracy.
8. Manage staff and participate in operational processes.

Language requirements: English - Very Good, Arabic - Fluent/Excellent.

• Bachelor’s in Commerce or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of trade finance banking experience in a major bank.
• Thorough knowledge of international trade practices, ICC uniform customs, and practices for documentary credits.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic, both verbal and written.
• Proficient with PC systems and quick to understand functionalities and processes.
• Strong communication skills to resolve issues across departments.
• Ability to work independently with accuracy, consistency, and decision-making skills to mitigate risk.
