Job summary
A leading IT managed services provider is looking for an L3 Support Engineer based in Cape Town or Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills and relevant IT certifications. Responsibilities include managing incidents, providing advanced technical support, and ensuring security compliance. Applications are welcomed from candidates with experience in a managed services environment.

- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent
- Backup certification or demonstrable experience (e.g. Veeam, Commvault, Datto)
- Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator (MS-600)
- Mimecast certification or experience
- Proven experience in an IT support or helpdesk role, ideally within a managed services environment
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve advanced technical issuesExperience providing technical support and delivering excellent customer service
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure), Active Directory, and network administration
- Track record of successfully managing escalated incidents and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions in high-pressure environments.
- Expert troubleshooting and analytical skills
- In-depth knowledge of networking, cloud, and infrastructure technologies
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, SharePoint, and related platforms
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and backup solutions
- Ability to lead, mentor, and train others
- Strong organisational, documentation, and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure
