The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the production of quality desktops, servers, and notebooks are completed on time and in a cost-effective manner.

Purpose:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the production of quality desktops, servers, and notebooks are completed on time and in a cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the daily production line functions and processes.
• Manage the production team daily.
• Plan and organize daily production schedules/orders.
• Oversee the daily operations and processes on the production line.
• Assess project and resource requirements.
• Determine quality control standards.
• Monitor production output and costs, and adjust processes and resources to minimize costs.
• Take accountability and responsibility for the overall management of stock within these areas.
• Assist in the management of a successful team and help ensure staff competency according to performance evaluation plans.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience:

• Matric
• CompTIA A+
• Tertiary qualification would be an advantage
• Minimum of 1 year supervisory or management experience in a technical (IT) production environment

Skills and Knowledge:

• Ability to work cooperatively with other departments
• Ability to determine requirements and needs
• Leadership
• Time Management
• Good knowledge of general administrative and internal processes
• Knowledge of ICT industry
• Thorough knowledge of good customer service
• Good knowledge of company QMS and H&S systems
• Ability to accurately prepare and submit reports, maintain records
• Good verbal and written communication skills
