Role Overview
The Store Planner is responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimising planograms and store layouts across all Faithful to Nature retail locations. This role plays a key part in shaping customer flow, product visibility, and overall store performance. You will work cross-functionally with store teams, merchandising, buying, and operations to ensure that every store layout supports commercial goals, improves the customer experience, and reflects the FtN brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Planogram Management:
- Create, maintain, and continuously optimise planograms for all store formats.
- Add new products independently, ensuring accurate and consistent placement.
- Adjust planograms based on performance data, space constraints, and customer behaviour insights.
- Store Layout & Space Optimisation:
- Analyse store layouts, fixtures, and customer flow to maximise visibility, accessibility, and sales.
- Rework layouts and planograms to accommodate new product introductions while maintaining store efficiency.
- Ensure floor and shelf space is used effectively across categories.
- Stock & Inventory Support:
- Manage weekly stock transfers to stores.
- Ensure optimal stock availability across stores in partnership with supply chain teams.
- Data-Driven Insights:
- Analyse retail data to identify opportunities for increased revenue and improved category performance.
- Provide space allocation and placement recommendations grounded in sales and productivity insights.
- Collaboration & Implementation:
- Support store teams and regional managers in implementing planograms and layout changes.
- Gather ongoing feedback from stores to refine layouts and improve customer experience.
- Partner closely with merchandising, buying, supply chain, and operations to ensure successful execution.
Experience Required
- 3+ years of experience in store or space planning, merchandising, or a related retail role.
- Degree in supply chain management, business management, or a related field.
- Experience using planogram software (strong preference for experience in using Quant) and understanding store operational procedures.
- Strong ability to interpret sales, space, and productivity data.
