MLR Consultant : Michellele Roux

• Control and monitor the extrusion processes
• Manage tool changes, feeder changes, and raw material changes
• Ensure timeous and correct line set-ups and changeovers
• Manage the production shift to ensure optimal efficiencies
• Take full responsibility for process and product quality
• Monitor and inspect machines and equipment to maintain high mechanical performance
• Analyze process and product deviations, perform troubleshooting and adjustments
• Focus on OEE indicators (Availability, Performance, Quality)
• Maintain team morale and discipline, control attendance and punctuality, and keep records
• Keep production area and facilities clean and organized
• Ensure shift safety and promote a good safety culture within the team
• Drive Lean operational excellence activities such as 5S, set-ups, autonomous maintenance, root cause & corrective action, rapid problem solving, FIFO, tier meetings, and skills development
• Perform maintenance work on shift as required and assist with general maintenance activities

• Technical qualification
• Minimum N3 artisan or equivalent
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment (extrusion experience advantageous)
• 2+ years in a supervisory or management role
