Job summary
A leading IT services provider in South Africa is seeking a candidate to maintain Storage, SAN, and Compute hardware while ensuring compliance with best practices. Responsibilities include performance analysis, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery planning. Candidates must have experience with HPE 3PAR, MSA Storage, and relevant IT certifications. This role requires a strong understanding of systems integration and vendor management, along with a minimum of 5 years in an enterprise IT environment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in an Enterprise IT environment.
- Knowledge of systems and systems integration.
- Experience in managing 15 Petabytes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and report on compliance to ensure contractual objectives.
- Develop and partake in policies for continuity and disaster recovery.
- Participate in disaster recovery testing as required.

CPT AK-1 The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining Storage, SAN, and Compute hardware by providing OEM good practices through designing, implementing, and deploying shared system resources, like disks and networking.
Responsibilities include performance analysis and troubleshooting, data recovery strategies for critical systems, and data backup measures. Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities : Monitor, contribute, and report on compliance to documented protocols to ensure contractual objectives are achieved. Maintain short-term and long-term Capacity and Availability goals to deliver on day-to-day services. Develop and partake in the policies, procedures, and organization capability to establish sufficient capacity for continuity and disaster recovery. Participate in any incident that leads to a disastrous event. Partake in annual disaster recovery testing as required and specified in the Contract. Contribute to GORT IT DR plans, policies, and strategies. Storage provisioning. Zoning. Firmware maintenance (SAN, Storage, Blade Chassis, Physical servers).
Maintain HPE reporting integration (On-prem and Cloud).
Hardware repairs. Requirements : Grade 12. Undergraduate degree / diploma in IT or currently working towards completing a Degree / Diploma in IT. Various hardware vendor experience and certifications. ITIL certification. A+ and N+ Certification. Experience in IT Enterprise size DR, plan, implement and maintain. Managing HPE 3PAR StoreServ I, experience or certification. Managing HPE 3PAR StoreServ II, experience or certification. Implementing MSA Storage Solutions, experience or certification. Brocade SAN Enterprise Experience, experience or certification. 5+ years' experience in an Enterprise IT Environment. Knowledge of : Systems and Systems Integration. Vendor Management. Managing 15 Petabytes. Technical lead for Plan, Build and Operate. HPE 3PAR series, series.
HPE MSA. HPE Blade Chassis series, series. HPE Physical servers (Various models). SAN – Physical and Fabrics (Director Class, Blade Chassis switches).
