Technical and Development Manager - Skincare & Colour cosmetics

A Technical & Development manager in a personal care company leads and directs R&D, innovation, and product launches.

They oversee formulation, stability, regulatory compliance (CTFA, EU / UK), manufacturing support, and quality systems (GMP) for new and existing cosmetic products, requiring strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills to bridge marketing needs with technical feasibility and market regulations.

The manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative and market-competitive products, maintain timelines, and deliver high-quality results.

Key responsibilities include managing product documentation, conducting technical feasibility research, selecting raw materials, managing all required product testing, and ensuring final products meet regulatory standards and quality specifications.

The role also involves technical leadership, which includes managing a team, liaising with suppliers and manufacturers, and troubleshooting formulation challenges, whilst being a key liaison between development, production, quality assurance, and raw material suppliers.
