1. Relevant qualification within a specialist area or equivalent NQF 7.
2. Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse / Midwife or Registration with HPCSA as a Clinical Technologist (Independent Practice).
3. Experience in renal nursing is strongly recommended.
4. Capacity to implement and maintain health practice standards required by accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation.
5. Ability to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.

1. Perform dialysis according to prescription safely and follow NRC's internal policies and procedures.
2. Provide optimal patient care per the nursing scope of practice and NRC's clinical care pathways.
3. Manage and maintain all medical equipment following NRC's technical policies and procedures.
4. Utilize all NRC quality initiative programs for patients under your management.
5. Maintain and update all patient clinical records according to deadlines, policies, procedures, and NRC standards.
6. Follow all financial policies and procedures in the unit, including confirmation, billing, private patients, stock, waste, etc.
7. Lead the shift and supervise all subcategories on the floor daily.
8. Demonstrate the National Renal Care Values and Caring the NRC Way.
