This role is responsible for all Unix / Linux (open systems) related installations, modifications, monitoring, testing, and maintaining cloud and infrastructure solutions.

Provide specialised technical support and guidance through high-level analysis, diagnosis, and problem solving.

Offer general technical consulting on systems to clients and engineers, collaborate with sales and support personnel on client requirements, and assist engineers in technical functions.

Responsible for all Unix / Linux (open systems) related installations, modifications, monitoring, testing, and maintaining cloud and infrastructure solutions.

Provide specialised technical support and guidance through high-level analysis, diagnosis, and problem solving.

Offer general technical consulting on systems to clients and engineers, collaborate with sales and support personnel on client requirements, and assist engineers in technical functions.

• Act as the customer-facing interface between Customer / Account and 3rd parties, actively identifying risks.
• Serve as the first point of escalation for service delivery complaints (all priority levels) with support teams.
• Oversee Service Management, Service Operations & Service Reviews to meet service standards per SLAs and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage Due Diligence reports and proposals for new clients.
• Assist in recommending product sets and defining go-to-market strategies supporting company strategies.
• Support and maintain Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Identity Management infrastructure aligned with quality, standards, and SLAs from service transition through to decommissioning.
• Create and maintain technical infrastructure standards & procedures.
• Evaluate operational compliance and assist in audit reviews.
• Participate in technical design and define thresholds for monitoring and support.
• Collaborate to optimize engagement between BCX divisions and enhance relationships with customers and vendors.

NQF 6 : 3-year Degree / Diploma / National Diploma OR NQF 4 : Grade 12

Experience: 5 years' experience in Unix / Linux or 7 years' experience in Unix / Linux with Grade 12.

Certifications: IBM Power Systems with AIX
