About our client: Our client is a fast‑growing short‑term rental management company that launched just over two years ago. Today, we manage 75+ Airbnb units, with a clear roadmap to reach 100 units by the end of this year and 200+ units by the end of next year. Our mission is to deliver exceptional guest experiences while scaling with precision and operational excellence.
The Role
We’re looking for a high‑performing Operations Manager with a proven track record in Airbnb/short‑term rental operations and hospitality management. This person will set the standard for our operations as we scale, lead our VA team effectively, and ensure the systems and processes are not only maintained but continuously improved.
Current Team Structure
- 6 Remote VAs (Guest Communications, Maintenance Scheduler, Head VA)
- Revenue Manager
- Pricing Manager (Dynamic Pricing)
- Full‑time Staffing & Furnishing Manager
- 3 Company Directors
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage our VA team (guest communications, scheduling, admin) to ensure top‑tier performance.
- Handle guest escalations and ensure fast, professional resolutions.
- Maintain and improve operational systems and processes – suggest and implement better tools where needed.
- Work closely with leadership to uphold quality standards across all units.
- Oversee expense tracking, reporting, and accountability within the operations team.
- Ensure guest communication is optimized, balancing efficiency with 5‑star guest experience.
- Collaborate with directors, revenue manager, and pricing manager to align operations with company growth targets.
- Drive a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements
- Short‑term rental experience
- Worked for another company like this and has ideas and suggestions for improvements & efficiency
- Hospitality experience in operations management
- Has managed 75+ units at a time
- Looking for someone who can take ownership of operations and run things with a high level of accountability — almost like a director
- We need someone who can come in and ensure all processes are fully dialled in across the business.
- The role needs someone who can:
- Manage staff effectively and hold them accountable
- Produce detailed performance reports, especially on guest services
- Reassign and manage team priorities as things shift
- Identify operational issues early and proactively resolve them
- Build, refine, and enforce systems across the business
- Lead and develop the team through training, expectations, and performance reviews
- Provide strategic input and help drive the business as we scale
- Maintain strong communication and give consistent reporting so nothing falls through the cracks
