Brief: We are recruiting for a GRC Officer with Legal/RE5 certifications in the Financial space, East Rand.

Job Title: GRC Officer

Job Summary:
The GRC Officer will support the GRC Department in developing and maintaining all Governance, Risk, and Compliance Frameworks and Systems. This might include tasks related to forensics, internal audit, and health and safety functions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Compliance: Conduct regular compliance checks to prevent illegal, unethical or improper conduct, provide internal compliance training, maintain up-to-date knowledge on industry legislation, and prepare compliance reports for regulators.
2. Risk Management: Identify potential risks, assess and analyze the same, communicate with outer departments to ensure mitigation of risks, review the company's risk register, and develop risk management strategies.
3. Administration: Ensure updated license applications, maintain registers, design risk mitigating policies, prepare various reports, ensure grammatically correct product content, and assist in drafting agreements.
4. Monitoring: Oversee adherence to risk, governance, and GRC policies, monitor risk trends, resolution status, and effectiveness of risk actions in the business environment.

Requirements:

1. Essential Qualifications: Matric, Law/Risk/Business Management Degree, and RE5.
2. Desirable Qualifications: RE1.
3. Legal or Statutory Requirements: Clear Criminal Record, RE5, and relevant registration with compliance/risk institutions.
4. Essential Experience: 3-4 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry.
5. Desirable Experience: Any GRC-related experience.

Work Hours: Monday – Friday (08:00 – 17:00).
Salary: R25k - R35k p/m
