Job summary
A logistics company in Johannesburg seeks an experienced Truck Mechanic to diagnose issues and perform routine maintenance on trucks and heavy equipment. Ideal candidates should have 3-5 years of relevant experience, a Red seal certification, and strong problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities include routine checks, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure the fleet operates efficiently.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role as Truck Mechanic / Service Advisor.
- Experience in repairing construction and earthmoving equipment.
- Experience in repairing forklifts.
Responsibilities
- Diagnosing problems.
- Routine maintenance including checking oil, air brakes, lubrication.
- Fixing damaged electrical components and replacing worn parts.
- Taking steps to prevent new problems from developing.

Job Description
Diagnosing problems.
Routine maintenance like checking oil, air brakes, lubrication, batteries, nuts and bolts, and other item
Fixing damaged electrical components and parts, and repairing or replacing worn parts like brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors
Taking steps to prevent new problems from developing
Minimum of 3-5 years in same or similar role as Truck Mechanic / Service Advisor experience in a Commercial Motor Industry environment
