Our client, a leading plant and equipment hire company servicing the mining and construction industry, is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Durban . The company specialises in large open-cast mining operations (quarries) and runs a fleet including excavators (Volvo, Komatsu, Sany) and dump trucks (Bell 30t–50t) .

Minimum Requirements :

• Matric + Diesel Mechanic Trade Test
• 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience
• Advanced knowledge of plant hire vehicles (excavators & dump trucks)
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems & diagnostics
• Proficiency in maintenance tools, repair equipment & diagnostic software
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills
• Willingness to relocate to Durban
