Job description

The purpose of the Marketing Coordinator is to assist with organizing events for the region and attend partner meetings with sales and brand managers.

You will be overseeing partner accounts and closely working with account managers.

Performance Standards
  1. Create, implement, and manage project plans for various marketing activities.
  2. Prepare marketing plans for the company and its vendors.
  3. Implement and coordinate approved marketing activities in the quarterly marketing plans for the company and its vendors.
  4. Liaise with all role players: Vendors, Product managers, Suppliers.
  5. Keep an updated task list and project sheet for all marketing activities and events.
  6. Schedule regular progress meetings with Brand Managers to ensure activities are carried out as per the approved marketing plan.
  7. Obtain approval and sign-off from Brand Managers for marketing activities.
  8. Maintain a tracking sheet for all marketing activities.
  9. Manage marketing briefs for marketing activities.
  10. Liaise with suppliers for events and branded marketing collateral.
  11. Keep and maintain an updated trusted supplier database.
  12. Manage the procurement process with Brand managers and suppliers, from sourcing to final delivery.
  13. Negotiate the best pricing and best quality.
  14. Ensure that all vendors and company brand guidelines are adhered to.
  15. Plan and execute internal and external company events as well as regional events.
  16. Assist with company regional events and functions.
  17. Keep a project sheet for all events and functions.
  18. Liaise with trusted suppliers.
  19. Manage event budget to prevent overspending.
  20. Assist with setup and registration.
  21. Manage all suppliers and processes required for a successful event.
  22. Create a post-event report for all events.
  23. Book and make travel arrangements if required.
  24. Responsible for maintaining and updating the vendor marketing portal with marketing activities.
  25. Submit claims with POE as per vendor requirements.
  26. Work closely with finance administrator regarding quotes and invoices related to marketing projects.

Requirements
  1. Marketing Diploma or equivalent.
  2. 2-3 years of experience in marketing coordination with experience in events and project management.
  3. IT Distribution experience is an advantage.
  4. Digital Marketing experience would be an added benefit.
  5. Office-based working environment.
  6. Semi-formal dress code.
  7. Working hours are from: 08:00 – 17:00.
  8. Excellent international business language skills (English), both written and verbal.
  9. Reliable transport to and from the office.
  10. This is a permanent position subject to a three-month probationary period.
  11. You will be required to perform such duties as reasonably required by the business.
