Job summary

A local HR services provider in South Africa is seeking a dedicated Employee Relations Coordinator. This role involves updating and maintaining accurate employee records, supporting recruitment and onboarding logistics, and assisting with payroll administration. The candidate will ensure effective communication across queries and policy implementations. A salary range of R15,000 to R20,000 per month is offered, along with remote work opportunities. Candidates must legally work in South Africa with a valid tax number.

Job description
Employee Record & System Management
  • Data Entry and Maintenance: Continuously update and maintain accurate employee records in Atlas with details like personal information, job titles, compensation, and employment history.
  • Documentation: Prepare, issue, file, and secure HR documents such as employment contracts, offer letters, employment verification letters, contract amendments, and termination paperwork.
Employee Support and Relations
  • Query Resolution: Respond to employee and manager inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conflict Assistance (Administrative): Assist in the administrative aspects of employee relations, such as documenting grievances or disciplinary actions.
Recruitment and Onboarding Support
  • Onboarding Coordination: Coordinate the logistics for new employees, which can include scheduling orientation, preparing new hire welcome kits, ensuring system access is ready, and coordinating with other departments.
Payroll Administration
  • Liaise with the payroll department by providing accurate, up-to-date information on employee changes, time‑off balances, and leaves of absence (sick/maternity).
  • Leave Tracking: Record, track, and manage employee leave requests, including vacation, sick time, and extended leaves.
Policy and Compliance
  • Policy Implementation: Assist in communicating, distributing and tracking responses.
  • Reporting: Generate routine or ad‑hoc reports on HR metrics like headcount, turnover rates, and absenteeism for management review or compliance audits — once all employees are correctly inputted into Atlas.
Benefits

Remote working from South Africa (must be able to legally work in South Africa with a tax number).
