Account Manager required in Century City, Cape Town.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operational Functions:
- Sell the value proposition, across the value stack & all offerings, into the region to assigned & new customers
- Identify opportunities by researching & exploring customers “assigned & new”, as well as all focus areas, developing solution offerings jointly with various business units and delivering on customer business requirements
- Locate & propose potential business value by growing assigned customers & contacting new ones, exploring & uncovering relevant opportunities
- Screen potential business opportunities by understanding market strategies, deal requirements, further potential & financials
- Full understanding of the sales cycle.
- Understanding of current & future POPIA & FICA legislation via training and ensuring “safe” transacting with customers.
Business Development:
- Close new business by coordinating requirements, negotiating & developing opportunities
- Protect organizational value “IP” by keeping information confidential
- Update relevant career focused knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal & professional networks, participating in professional organizational & vendor events or training
- Enhance organizational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new & different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Direct & manage ongoing customer relationships to ensure total customer satisfaction, further develop business based on opportunities identified within customers
Requirements:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong sales expertise with negotiation, closing, and strategy development experience
- Technical and industry knowledge, able to work with enterprise solutions and technical teams
- Business and financial acumen (opex, capex, margins, debtors) with focus on delivering customer value
- Resilient, adaptable, and innovative – able to multitask, prioritise, and perform under pressure
