TRADE FINANCE EXECUTIVE
Job summary
A leading oil and gas company in Singapore is hiring a Trade Finance Executive to manage Letter of Credit transactions and prepare financial documents. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in trade finance within the industry and be proficient in Mandarin. This role also demands strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to work under pressure. Competitive candidates will be available immediately or with short notice.
Qualifications
- 3 years of trade finance experience in Oil & Gas industry.
- Proficiency in speaking and writing Mandarin is essential.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Handle Letter of Credit (LC) related matters.
- Prepare invoice/debit/credit notes and submit for approval.
- Handle outgoing payments and internal fund transfers.

The Trade Finance Executive will work closely with the Operations, Finance Department with job scope including but not limited to the following:
- Handle Letter of Credit (LC) related matters such as
- Liaise with suppliers and buyers to confirm LC clauses according to contract/deal recap.
- Liaise with bankers for LC issuance and ensure the accuracy.
- Handle amendment, negotiation and follow up on acceptance
- Prepare invoice/debit/credit notes, confirm it with relevant parties and submit for approval
- Handle all the outgoing payments.
- Handle company internal fund transfer between banks and place FD as per instructed.
- Assist in data entries for derivate transactions, trade/non-trade invoices as well as payments and receipts etc
- Any other tasks as assigned.
- 3 years of trade finance experience in Oil & Gas industry
- A degree or higher qualification is required.
- Proficiency in speaking and writing Mandarin is essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required.
- Possess multitasking skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Preference will be given to candidates available immediately or with a short notice period.
