Job summary
A leading educational institution in Singapore is seeking a candidate for Finance Operations. The role involves supervising a team to ensure operational efficiency, accurate reporting, and implementing changes in finance processes. The ideal candidate will manage compliance and best practices in accounts management while liaising with auditors and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Supervising a team to oversee smooth operations.
- Timely and accurate reporting on sub-ledgers.
- Driving changes in Finance Ops processes.
- Support the Department Head by supervising a team to oversee smooth operations and meet the company’s objectives and key performance indicators.
- Ensure the internal control framework is in place.
- Responsible for timely and accurate reporting on sub-ledgers, including bank reconciliation and accounts analysis.
- Continuously evaluate policies and procedures, tweak processes to gain productivity, and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Act as an effective Change Manager, driving changes in Finance Ops processes to meet evolving business requirements.
- Keep updated on technological advancements in the AP/AR systems arena and review/evaluate their suitability for the business.
- Implement best practices in the AR/AP process.
- Follow up on abnormalities detected by Data Analytics and report findings from investigations.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, bankers, other divisions, and external vendors on payment-related matters.
- Drive process simplification and lead the implementation of standardization and scalable processes.
