As a Cloud Data Platform Solution Architect, you will lead the design, setup, and implementation of a modern, secure, and scalable cloud data platform. This platform will be built on AWS and will integrate Talend Big Data Management, Talend Data Catalog, RStudio Workbench, Posit Package Manager, Denodo, Keycloak, CKAN, Tyk, and AWS API Gateway.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in building data platforms from the ground up, with strong expertise in data integration, metadata management, data virtualization, access control, API management, and secure cloud deployment. The successful candidate will work closely with the cloud infrastructure stakeholders, scrum master, project managers, and technical teams to establish an enterprise data platform that sustains analytics and AI initiatives.

The role requires the ability to translate user stories, technical and security requirements into platform infrastructure plans, and oversee the establishment of the government cloud platform to power self‑service analytics or AI projects. To support this, you may also need a good understanding of Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) and GCC+.

• Design and lead the end‑to‑end setup of a cloud‑based data platform architecture on AWS, integrating multiple tools and services
• Deploy and configure
  • Talend Big Data Management for scalable data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration
  • Talend Data Catalog for enterprise data governance and metadata management
  • RStudio Workbench and Posit Package Manager to support secure, collaborative data science workflows
  • Tyk API Gateway and AWS API Gateway for a robust data API layer to ensure secure and scalable data access
  • CKAN for data publishing and discovery
  • Keycloak for identity and access management, providing SSO, RBAC, and secure authentication across platform components
  • AWS services including S3, Redshift, and SageMaker to support storage, transformation, and querying of data
• Define and document platform architecture, integration patterns, and operational procedures.
• Ensure security, compliance, and scalability across all components of the platform.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps (i.e., SHIPS/HAT), data engineering, and business teams to align platform capabilities with organizational needs.

• Good communication skills to understand our customers' core business objectives and build end‑to‑end data‑centric solutions to address them
• Good critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities
• Minimum 12 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or solution architecture roles
• Proven experience designing and deploying solutions with:
  • Talend Big Data Management (ETL pipelines, orchestration)
  • Talend Data Catalog (metadata, governance, lineage)
  • RStudio Workbench & Posit Package Manager (collaborative analytics environment setup)
  • Keycloak (SSO, OAuth2, RBAC, identity federation)
  • Tyk and AWS API Gateway (API design, security, throttling, policies)
  • AWS services – especially S3, Glue, Redshift
• Strong understanding of big data ecosystem and modern data lake/data warehouse architectures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field

• Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
• Experience with deploying solutions in GCC and GCC+
