Audio Visual Technician
Job summary
A leading hotel in Singapore is seeking a skilled individual for the role of Audio-Visual Technician. The incumbent will ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of AV systems, assist with project implementations, and support event requirements using Adobe Connect. Candidates should possess a NITEC in Digital Audio Video Production and have 1-2 years of relevant experience. This role emphasizes technical troubleshooting and effective communication with various teams.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of relevant working experience required.
- Knowledge of manufacturers’ instructions and manuals for equipment repair.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Assistant AV Manager with improvement projects.
- Conduct maintenance programs for AV and IT systems.
- Liaise with teams for event requirements and room setups.
- Provide technical direction for equipment troubleshooting.
Skills
Education
Reporting to the Assistant Audio-Visual Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring efficient operation and maintenance of the physical plant, structure, utility services, equipment, fixtures and furnishings for the hotel facility.
Assist the Assistant AV Manager to implement projects to improve system efficiency.
Identify needs for improvement projects and supervise project implementations.
Monitor and execute planned and unplanned maintenance programs for that are related to the AV System, IT System, AV control room and Function Spaces.
Liaise with Sales & Marketing team on the event requirements; create event and seminar room layouts in Adobe Connect.
Work with Event organizer on the setting up the Moderator role and deploying necessary PCs.
Work with Hotel AV team to configure the video/audio sources require to input to Adobe Connect system.
Test Adobe Connect application via tablets and liaise with Banquet team to ensure smooth deployment of tablets.
Administer and housekeep the Events in Adobe Connect.
Work closely with IT technical support on Adobe Connect infra maintenance.
Conduct daily briefing and distribute daily work assignments. Provide technical direction and expertise towards trouble shooting, planned and preventive maintenance of all equipment and building services systems.
Carry out all planned and unplanned repair & maintenance urgently and efficiently.
To have thorough knowledge of the manufacturers’ instructions and manuals to ensure equipment is repaired according to the correct methods.
Report any abnormal or extraordinary incidents to the supervisors for his/her action and follow up.
Liaise with supervisor to order specific spare parts or equipment necessary to execute effective maintenance.
Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors.
Make appropriate suggestions and recommendations to supervisors for the general improvement of the hotel.
Attend meetings and training as required by supervisors.
Ensure that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically and in compliance with the Singapore Law.
NITEC in Digital Audio Video Production or its equivalent professional certification
Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience
