Job Description
The Role: (Assistant Finance Manager)
As the Assistant Finance Manager, you'll be an integral part of the finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer. Your primary focus will be on ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting strategic decision-making through financial analysis and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end consolidation.
Preparation of half-yearly SGX and HKEX results announcement as well as Interim and Annual Report in bilingual.
Ensure accuracy of the financial data and reports as well as compliance with Singapore FRS and other statutory requirements.
Preparation of group forecasts and budgets.
Conduct analytical reviews of subsidiary companies' monthly financials to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
Preparation of quarterly reports and Board Papers.
Assist in Group Sustainability Reporting.
Handle external and internal audit and statutory matters including corporate secretary matters.
Liaising with the corporate secretary in Singapore and Hong Kong on the SGX and HKEX announcements.
Ensure that all entities including overseas subsidiaries accounting policies comply with the Group policies.
Motivate and lead the staff in enhancing their skills and capabilities.
Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Financial Controller or Chief Financial Officer to support the overall goals of the finance function.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher (CA / CPA / MBA a plus)
At least 5 year(s) of relevant working experience in a listed company is preferred with good knowledge in SFRS (I), SGX Listing Manual and Companies Act
Solid hands-on experience in preparing consolidated financial and management reports for a large group
Bilingual in English and Mandarin to effectively work with various counterparts
Strong analytical skills with structured thinking capabilities
Organized, able to prioritize work to meet deadlines effectively
Meticulous with good eye for details
Self-directed learner, able to work independently to produce accurate results
Strong in Microsoft Office especially Excel with knowledge of Power Query and Power BI
Confident, mature and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
